You might be asking, why Norfolk, Virginia?
Because Gannon lives in Virginia, and I grew up in Virginia.
That’s why.
The USS Wisconsin is an actual decommissioned battleship which serves as a museum ship for Nauticus, the National Maritime Center in Norfolk. If you’re in the area, definitely stop by. And try not to imagine it being blown up by alien invaders.
Love military museums. While I’m on the topic, I’ll give a shout out to the Pacific Coast Air Museum in Windsor, CA, which is amazing. My family and I visited it this past summer and it was awesome.
If you’ve got a military museum that you’d like to recommend, please post it in the comments.
Thanks for reading, always.

Looks like the old man is a member of the greatest generation.
And on the subject of alien invasions. *Holds up M16*

Man I cant believe how long it has been since I read this comic. I actually forgot bout it. Its fun to come back to it after so long and see so many updates. Also, wow I cant believe I wrote that post years ago. So embarrassing looking back at older posts written when I was young and dumb.
The museum I go to a lot is the National Museum of the Marine Corps. It’s located outside of Quantico, Virginia. My dad, who served at Khe Sahn, in Vietnam was really moved by the Khe Sahn exhibit and commented on what an authentic job they did.
The last couple of times I’ve been there, there was an Iwo Jima veteran who volunteers for the Museum to pass along the oral history of the battle. Very moving to listen to him speak.
Here is the museum’s web address: http://www.usmcmuseum.com
Not strictly a military museum, but the one at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park outside of Atlanta, GA is great. It’s easily one of the best battlefield museums I’ve been to and I’ve visited a lot of them.
Also I agree with Gannon, the USMC’s museum in Virginia is really worth a visit. Not only are the exhibits great, but the volunteers are wonderful.
